Recorded in January of 2005, The Fisherman's Lament is an improvised allegory of the day in the life of a fisherman.

The story is based on the observations of Colin Beattie, who sings lyrics inspired by the subject, one of the few Le Ton Mité recordings with main vocals by someone other than McCloud.
