We are pleased to present you “KUMOKOKUDO”, a tribute to the land of clouds, by LE TON MITÉ, which captures its ephemeral beauty through the collection of simple notes and arranged into songs which reflect the essence of each moment experienced by artist, musician & letterpress printer McCloud Zicmuse... being kicked out of the house, climbing a mountain, eating fries... Orchestrations that at times rock and other times soothe, a counterpoint of melodies that harken back to the compositions of the middle ages but sound equally as if they come from the future.

Voices sing in strange or almost familiar languages, the music is bright, pointillistic, and usually has a strange chord or musical signature at the end. The songs are not very long, but it quickly becomes clear that the whole recording is the song! Suddenly you see the story as a whole, and the guitars, keyboards percussions and iaeniaens all play part in this story. Then you realise that you just said “iaeniaen” and find out that it is a handmade one-stringed instrument that Zicmuse builds.

But that is not all, no recording can be had without the help from friends, so that is where some piano, percussion and keyboards from Marc Melià Sobrevias, vocals from Eloïse Decazes, xaphoon & percussion from François Schulz, and a cast of characters from the Norman countryside and the mythic Studio Chaudelande.
